Clara Paixão and My Fantasia

Thanks to Johan von Friedrich — Sweden´s iconic supporter of samba and Brazilian culture — I had the special privilege and opportunity to realize a photo session with one of the most charismatic samba queens of Rio de Janeiro, Clara Paixão

I had booked City Studios in Stockholm, just in case she was able to make it, and with some last minute help from my baby sister and makeup artist Paula Vargas, samba photographer Moralito and studio owner Thomas, we were able to pull off the session. We had just a little time before Clara´s samba workshop and I was a bit nervous, but when everything was set and she gave her first smile to the camera, I knew everything was going to be magnificent. She literally lit up the whole room! Further on, she has the most exquisite posture and body shape, light and gracious — just those qualities that I want Fantasia Rëal to represent.
